Amish Pickled Eggs and Beets

I haven’t thought about Amish Pickled Eggs and Beets for years until I ran across my old recipe. Of course, I had to make them.

What a fun treat to have in the refrigerator.

This is an easy recipe that my grandmother used to serve in the spring.

My brother still refers to this dish as “Easter eggs”. Slices of onion or hot pepper may also be added to the pickling liquid with the beets and eggs.

This snack is standard issue at a lot of households during the holidays but it’s not just for Christmas. This is great party fare regardless of the occasion. I’m thinking couchgatin’ for football games!

It is great during the holiday season though. You can take it to holiday parties or even make up a nice presentation and give it for gifts.

Bleu Cheese & Pecan Stuffed Dates

Blue-Cheese-&-Pecan-Stuffed

Sweet and savory! you can’t go wrong. Whoever developed this recipe is brilliant. Taking 2 ingredients ie ( blue cheese and dates) that most people are not to crazy about separately and putting them together to make these delectable babies!

To ease the party rush, make the filling for these dates a few days in advance, keeping in mind that the flavor will get stronger over time.

I love them and so did everybody I’ve served them to. They are splendid with red wine. Stop thinking about it and just make em already.
