I can’t remember where I got this Cheese Cookies recipe but it is very good. The touch of cayenne with the cheddar gives a nice zip.
They freeze really well and they’re handy to have them in the freezer.
You can, of course, also serve them right out of the oven after they rest for 10 minutes
My family just loves them and they are just so easy to put together. They are the perfect cheesy cookie to serve at parties or get-togethers.

These cheese cookies are the perfect snack for ball games or other get togethers!
- 1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese grated
- 1/2 lb butter
- 2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Mix cheese and the butter, then, with your hands mix all the remaining ingredients until fairly uniformly mixed Roll into walnut sized balls, flatten each a little and place on a lightly greased baking sheet Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.

Cool on racks.

Store in fridge or freeze.

Reheat in 400F for 5-7 minutes.

If frozen defrost in fridge before reheating.
