11 lb box penne or penne rigate, cooked as directed, drained and kept hot
2tablespoonsbutter or 2 tablespoons margarine
2garlic clovesminced
2tablespoonsflour
3/4cupchicken broth or 3/4 cup beef broth
3/4cupmilk
2teaspoonsparsley flakes
salt and pepperto taste
1/3cupgrated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Melt the butter and add garlic in a medium sauce pan. Cook over medium for 1 minute. Add the flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in the broth and milk and cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce boils and thickens. Add the parsley, salt, pepper and cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted.
Toss the hot pasta with the sauce and serve immediately.
