Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Butter a 13" by 9" baking dish (I use the butter wrapper) and set aside.

Melt butter on low in small sauce pan or skillet.

Add lemon juice to sliced apples, set aside.

Open can of crescent rolls and pull apart where the dough is perforated.

Toss apple slices with the cinnamon and nutmeg.

Starting at the large end of the crescent dough add 4-5 apple slices and roll dough into crescent shape. Place in prepared baking dish. Continue this until you have eight apple dumpling in your baking pan.

Spoon melted butter over the top of each dumpling. Sprinkle sugar evenly over buttered dumplings. Pour the Mountain Dew carefully around the dumplings.

Bake for 45 minutes. Do not open oven door during baking time.
