In large saucepan, brown the smoked sausage. Remove the sausage and cook the onions in oil over medium heat 3-4 minutes or until tender.

Stir in the sausage, broth, potatoes, corn and red pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce the heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.

Stir in the cream and heat through.

Garnish with additional sliced green onions, if desired.
